Tile flooring is a popular option for kitchens and bathrooms.
Tile, when properly sealed, is generally non-staining and can be easily
cleaned. It is also extremely durable, often lasting for decades.
The wide variety of tile available means that custom décor and
aesthetics can be easily achieved. Tile flooring can be as simple or
ornate as the imagination of the homeowner. And since tile is fairly
easy to install, many homeowners find that, with a little time and effort,
they can often complete the job themselves.
There are a few disadvantages to tile flooring as well. Ceramic tiles,
while extremely hard, are also brittle and can break if hit hard enough.
Fortunately, if these were to occur, it can often be easily fixed by
replacing the one tile instead of having to replace the whole floor.
